Extension Programs
(Open University allows you to attend regular University classes through the College of Continuing Education, on a space available basis, without being admitting to the University. Fees exceed the other two programs but are far cheaper for auditing a class versus taking one for credit. Only 24 units are allowed through this program toward a baccalaureate degree.)
(The Renaissance Society is a participatory "Center for Learning in Retirement" in which members choose to study topics proposed by their peers who coordinate the seminars.)
Sixty Plus Fee Waiver Program - (916) 278-3625
(At Sacramento State the Sixty Plus Fee Waiver program allows students to enroll in university courses. Restrictions were instituted starting with Fall 2009 that limits those who qualify. Students must by 60 years old. Availability of classroom space is a requirement for the waiver.)
