Website(s) of the Month

Yellow Maps - This website provides interactive maps for North America (US and Canada), World Maps and Topo Maps. The site also provides maps by state. For example, you can see the Missouri state map or the counties of Missouri in a variety of ways (base map, blank map, labeled counties map, etc.). This is a great resource for genealogists, travelers, or others, who want to see the location of counties within a state.

Is Your Social Security Number Online? - Do you want to find out if your Social Security Number is online? It likely is, but that’s OK in some cases and very dangerous in others. Refer to the original article on page 4 in the July 2010 Newsletter for information on finding the original article.

Identity Theft & Online Family History - If I post my family tree online, can my identity be stolen? Find out by reading the article on page 4 in the July 2010 Newsletter.
