STANDING RULES OF MISSION OAKS COMPUTER CLUB
(Effective November 9, 2006)
A. MEETINGS
1. All meetings are to start and finish at designated times.
2. Courteous behavior is expected at all meetings.
3. Members wishing to speak must be recognized by the chair.
B. DUES
Dues shall be $15.00 (fifteen) per individual or $20.00 (twenty) per couple.
C. ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF OFFICERS
1. President
The President shall be responsible for the preparation of meeting agendas and the orderly consideration and/or action relative to the agenda items. He/She shall be the official spokesperson for MOC2 and shall control keys for computer cabinets.
2. Vice-President
The Vice-President shall confirm and reserve executive board meeting location.
3. Program Officer
The Program Officer shall be responsible for developing programs at least two months in advance and informing publicity chairman. He/She shall chair the Program Committee.
4. Recording Secretary
The appropriate Recording Secretary (Executive Board Meetings, General Meetings or Special Meetings) shall provide a copy of all minutes to the President as soon as possible after each meeting.
5. Corresponding Secretary
The Corresponding Secretary shall send thank you letters to all presenters.
6. Treasurer
The Treasurer shall be responsible for monthly treasurer's report and providing records for the annual audit.
7. Membership Officer
The Membership Officer shall inform the telephone committee and other board members of all membership changes each month, prepare and distribute a roster of members once a year, and shall be responsible for the collection of dues.
D. DUTIES OF STANDING COMMITTEE
1. Hospitality
The Hospitality Chairman shall be responsible for greeting members and guests. Hospitality shall be responsible for getting members and all guests to sign the Mission Oaks Valuation Attendance Report Book and club attendance records. He/She shall make name tags available at meetings. He/She may appoint members to help set up and clean up meeting room and recruit extra help for special events.
2. Publicity
The Publicity Chairman shall be responsible for providing news of club functions to Mission Oaks Community Center News Letter two months prior to each function. He/She shall be responsible for including meeting place and time in other publications.
3. Computer Maintenance
The Computer Maintenance Committee shall maintain the club computer, cabinet, and equipment and shall prepare an annual inventory of the club’s hardware, software and cabinet contents.
4. Sound Specialist
The Sound Specialist sets up and puts away the sound system.
5. E-mail/Telephone Committee
The E-mail/Telephone Committee shall notify members of general meetings and executive board members of board meetings.
6. Historian
The Historian shall keep historical records of activities.
E. AMENDMENTS AND REVISIONS
Amendments to or revisions of these standing rules may be made at any general meeting of MOC2 by a majority of those members present.
